🤝 Microsoft and Adobe join hands to bring AI insights to Microsoft 365 apps

Microsoft and Adobe have partnered to bring AI-powered insights and automations directly into Microsoft 365 apps like Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Here's what you can expect:

This integration will connect Adobe's Experience Cloud marketing data and tools with Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant.

The goal is to streamline marketing workflows and boost productivity by infusing AI and eliminating the need to switch between separate applications.

More features:

  • Real-time campaign analytics from Adobe Analytics surfaced in Outlook/Word by Copilot, along with project details from Adobe Workfront.

  • Copilot meets Firefly: AI assistance from Copilot leveraging Adobe's generative AI like Firefly to help create marketing content powered by live data.

  • Automated notifications in Microsoft apps about milestones, feedback requests, etc. based on signals from Adobe Workfront.

The partnership can enable more efficient campaign creation, management and execution across teams.

Three BIG AI tokens to merge into one single token ($ASI)

Three blockchain-based AI projects - Fetch.ai (FET), SingularityNET (AGIX), and Ocean Protocol (OCEAN) have entered into a proposed agreement to merge tokens.

The proposed "Artificial Superintelligence Alliance":

  • Aims to create the largest open-source, independent player in AI R&D.

  • Would merge their respective tokens into a single token called Artificial Superintelligence ($ASI).

  • Deliver a decentralized AI stack at scale to compete with big tech giants

If tokenomics is approved:

  • FET would become ASI with a 2.63 billion total supply at a $2.82 starting price.

  • AGIX and OCEAN would convert to ASI at rates of 0.43335:1 and 0.433226:1 respectively.

  • Combined ASI token fully diluted value: $7.5 billion.

A new "Superintelligence Collective" governing council would be formed, led by SingularityNET's Ben Goertzel as CEO.

The goal is to ensure ethical, transparent, and decentralized development of artificial general intelligence (AGI) outside the control of big tech firms.

What’s ahead:

The projects are commencing a 14-day consultation period today, with community voting expected between April 2-16 on whether to proceed with the merger.

Will AI 'apocalypse' take away almost 8M jobs in UK?

A report by the Institute for Public Policy Research warns that almost 8 million jobs in the UK could be lost to AI in a potential "jobs apocalypse" over the next 3-5 years.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The think tank says entry-level, part-time, and administrative jobs are most at risk from automation of workplace tasks.

  • In a worst-case scenario of swift AI adoption, 11% of current tasks could be automated soon, rising to 59% in a second wave as AI handles more complex work - potentially displacing 7.9 million jobs with no economic growth gains.

  • In a best-case scenario, AI could augment rather than replace humans, boosting the UK economy by 4% or £92 billion annually with no job losses.

However, the report states a "jobs apocalypse" is avoidable if government, employers, and unions take proactive steps to manage the AI transition and upskill workers.

So, should you be worried? Not necessarily! Remember, the future is what we make it!
